The European Documentation Center
The University's European Documentation Centre is an independent unit, which collects EU documentation. It operates under the agreement of July 6, 2000 between Maria Curie-Sk?odowska University and the European Commission. The European Commission granted the Centre the status of a full European Documentation Centre.
The basic tasks of the University's European Documentation Centre include:

Collecting EU documentation concerning law, economics, agriculture, social policies etc.;

Editing documents received;

Making available documents in printed and electronic version;

Dissemination of information about the Centre's holdings;

Conducting specialist training in making use of EU materials;

Organizing seminars and conferences;

Promotion of the University's publications on the European Union.
The activities of the Centre are supervised by the Centre Board and its Chairman. The Chairman is Prof. Dr habil. Ziemowit Jacek Pietra?, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science. The Board is composed of the academic staff of the following Faculties: Political Science, Law and Administration, Economics, Humanities, and Philosophy and Sociology.

Opening hours in the academic year:
Monday-Friday: 9.00 -16.00
The Centre makes its holdings available exclusively on the spot during the opening hours. Documents can also be Xeroxed. The Centre is open not only to the University students but also to all those interested in the EU problems.
